The guide · 5 minute read

The « what am I going to wear » question,
settled tonight

Colours, fabrics, what to avoid, the future dad, older siblings. Read the guide in five minutes, open your wardrobe, and pull out two or three outfits that work. No shopping, no checklist for weeks.

Seven pages in PDF. Nothing to fill in, nothing to leave behind: you click, and it's yours

The real problem

It isn't your wardrobe, it's the night before

« I tried everything on last night and nothing works. What am I going to look like in these photos »

The night before a session, you're not looking for an outfit: you're looking for proof that it will all go well. And at midnight, in front of an open wardrobe, you never find it. That's where the session gets decided, not in front of the camera.

What's inside

Eight points, nothing to buy

These aren't generic tips found elsewhere: it's what I tell every woman before her session, written down once and for all.

Fabrics and what to avoid

Inside: the golden rule · colours · fabrics · what to avoid · five ideas that always work · the future dad · older brothers and sisters · the two or three outfits to plan.

What you wear does more for the photo than any retouching

That's the real reason for this guide, and it works in my favour too: a fabric that falls well and the right colour give me a photo I barely have to retouch. A logo, a stiff fabric or a busy print, on the other hand, stay visible no matter what's done afterwards. Five minutes of reading now are worth more than hours of retouching later.

At a glance

What works, what gets in the way

Four pairs, and you already have the essentials. The full guide develops each one, with colours, fabrics and outfits for the future dad.

What works and what gets in the way in pregnancy photos: logos, busy patterns and neon to avoid, flowing fabrics and soft tones to choose

The rule behind these four pairs: a logo, a stiff fabric or a busy print stay visible no matter what's done in retouching. A fabric that falls well doesn't.

And after

The guide settles the night before. The session is something else

If reading it makes you want these photos for real, there's a session behind it: we meet over coffee first, before you even book, and on the day all that's left is to be there.

Pregnancy session in Lyon - €250. Ten retouched photos, two or three the very next day, and a coffee before you even book. The guide is part of it: what you just read, we go through together with your wardrobe. See how it works

And for later, once baby is here: preparing baby for their newborn session
